D45: 13,000 in 3 Weeks for 143 Million
Make sense to you? Probably not. I didn’t have a clue until last week either. Here are the statistics… There are 143 million orphans around the world. That’s 143 million children without parents and families to call their own. That’s a crisis and a tragedy. One village in Kenya created 13,000 “X” keychains out of leather with the numbers 143 on them in a span of three weeks. They created each one by hand. They were... [Read More...]
D39: On Your Mark… Get Set…
Go! That’s the only way to describe my day today. One of the highlights for sure was this… Splash King broke the Guinness World Record for high dive into a pool of water 1 foot deep. And I was there at Catalyst to see it and catch it on camera. He really did dive from the highest point ever into a kiddie pool with only 1 foot of water (Guinness was there too to verify it). If you don’t know who they are, Google them. It’s an all-star cast. On top of that, I got to experience music by Steve Fee... [Read More...]
D37: Running Fast… but getting nowhere
Ever feel that way? Today’s wood figure is a classic case of this syndrome. He could run forever and will still never go anywhere. You can’t see it in the images, but he’s tied to a base that keeps him in one place forever. I feel that way sometimes. Like no matter how fast or how hard I run, I’m just not gaining any ground. It’s frustrating. At times infuriating. Mostly confusing. What do you do in times like that? Today’s... [Read More...]
