I’m incredibly honored and excited to share this short Parisian film…
a gift from my favorite filmmaker, Ron Dawson.
Watch and be inspired. Share and inspire others on the journey…
Notes from the Filmmaker
The Inspiration
In August 2012, photographer and writer Tasra Dawson visited Paris, France to celebrate ten years of marriage to her filmmaker husband Ron. It was a lifelong dream for Tasra to visit the City of Lights. It was an opportunity for her to explore her creativity, stretch her wings as an artist, and connect with people and the environment in a most authentic way. On the journey of self-discovery, her passion was reinvigorated.
The Film
Along the way, Ron documented Tasra’s journey so that he could create a short series of mini-docs about the trip and Tasra’s personal adventure. “Tasra’s Journey” is the first of the film series.
But more than that, it is an expression of love from a husband to his wife. A 2012 Christmas gift and an opportunity to share the beauty he sees in her. It was a rare and special period of time for Ron to get that much footage of his wife (who prefers to be behind the camera rather than in front).
May it also be an inspiration to all artists out there who have ever wondered if they would ever reach their destination.
