“Never doubt that a small group of committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” -Margaret Mead
Sometimes it becomes too much. You can only take so much as a woman, a wife, a mother. You see things you never thought you’d see. Your world seems to be falling apart around you. Something has to change.
Haven’t you felt that way sometimes?
I know I have.
The reality is that the way I’ve felt and experiences I’ve endured pale in light of the experience of Liberian women who risked their lives to take on the warlords and government. Even more amazing is that they won.
They won peace for their shattered country in 2003. What started with one woman having enough of terror and fighting and killing became a movement that changed a nation and the history of their country.
You can watch the documentary online at PBS. It’s less than an hour, but it will inspire, uplift and motivate you to take charge, make change and think about what you can do for yourself, your children and your world.
Wonder if you should watch it?
