Reinventing the 365 Photo Project in 2012

It happened over dinner in a Las Vegas hotel. The challenge was issued… and accepted.
12 months later, the challenge was completed.

What’s happened since is no less than what seems like a miracle.

So why not reinvent the project and see what roads it will lead down this time?

The first challenge was issued in August 2009 by photo guru and business master Scott Bourne. He said that if I was serious about improving my photography, I’d take 3 actions daily… for a year.

The result was a guaranteed 300% improvement in my photography. Hard to believe, I know. But when it comes from someone with decades of experience and expertise, you listen to them, not yourself (most of the time).

3 SIMPLE STEPS TO IMPROVE YOUR IMAGES 300% IN ONE YEAR

Take at least 1 photo every day.
Read at least 1 page in my camera manual every day.
View other professional images every day.

365 PHOTOGRAPHY PROJECT CHALLENGE FOR 2012

Daily take a new picture or post an image you’ve never shared.
Shoot at least 1 photo series per month.
Study 1 new photo book/photographer per month.

That’s the plan. Some slight variations, but clear intention to focus once again on the daily image, on seeing deeper into the everyday, and making my camera and images an integral part of my life.

Have you thought of taking the plunge again or for the first time? There’s still room on the sign up list with over 500 other photographers. Feel free to accept the first challenge or the second one. This is for you… for the doer and the dreamer. For making your dreams something you take action on every day. Don’t overthink it. Just act and trust that the resources and commitment will show up when you need it.

Happy New Years Tasra! I did your first challenge and I have to say I learned a lot. Although I started my own 2012 52 weeks photo challenge, I think Ican do both yours and mines together.
