Seriously, that’s how our honeymoon started. We flew to Cancun, Mexico, were dropped off at the Blue Bay “Ghetto”-way (Getaway). Little did we know what was in store. Our room wasn’t ready, so after a long flight we were homeless for about 8 hours with no place to go to cool off. We just wanted sleep. We wandered around aimlessly for a few hours in the heat and humidity, only to end up crashing on the couches in the lobby.
Today we arrived in NOLA (New Orleans) to a hot, humid day of record temperatures. We’re here celebrating our 8th anniversary. The hotel didn’t have our room ready yet, so we set off to find food that was relatively healthy… in the home of soul food and BBQ. We wandered for about 30 minutes until we realized it was just a little bit of history repeating. We were hot, humid, hungry, and homeless.
I did, however, manage to take some pretty cool pics. There’s always a silver lining.
