What a whirlwind weekend with CreativeLIVE. What an amazing group of people behind the scenes making the weekend events happen for a worldwide LIVE viewing audience. What an honor to be in the studio audience!
If you watched the broadcast, you know we had a 5 am call time on day 2 to go to Gas Works Park in Seattle. We had a couple hours and shot a wide variety of images and subjects. Here are a few of my favorites that I chose quickly after we returned from the shoot. I’m looking forward to going through more of the images when I get home and have time to see what else I captured!

The spider web shot is my favorite because it came out of an exercise David duChemin challenged us with… to choose one theme or one word and shoot that for 30 minutes. I chose broken and spent about 15 minutes searching for everything broken. But after 15 minutes, I couldn’t do it anymore, I needed to find some beauty in the brokenness, so I changed my search. This spider web covers the brokenness behind it in a beautiful way and speaks powerfully to me of hope beyond and in the midst of any type of brokenness.
