Were you a color inside the lines or outside the lines kind of kid? We all were one or the other. Maybe some of us were color outside the lines, but wanted to be color inside the lines.
Me, I was a color inside the lines with extreme care and meticulous precision, but longed to be a color outside the lines kind of girl. I watched my older brother color (rarely, but every once in a while) outside the lines. He didn’t care about the lines. If they worked for him, he used them, if not he ignored them. It was the way he lived his life… living according to what worked for him.
Now that strategy doesn’t always work, especially when it comes to the law, but that’s another story entirely. But I have to say that coloring inside the lines isn’t a strategy that always works either. What about all the people who colored inside the lines, went to college, got a job and then got laid off. I’ll bet they’re rethinking their strategy now.
Today’s Theme Thursday is LINES…
Instead of finding some lines that were already there, I decided to create my own. Actually I enlisted the help of my kids to create them and I captured them.
So maybe I’ve become an outside the lines photographer, what do you think?
Who are you?
