Slow Down. Play. Discover. Experience… Rebirth.
I was recently part of an inspiring conference call with a couple fellow photographers who are forging ahead into new ground with their photography and even their lives. They are daring to start a new kind of photography workshop, an un-workshop, a creative retreat… for the creative in you. Just listening to them talk about their vision made me long to go there now… to retreat, to create, to connect.
They sent me a link to a video that got the creative in me all choked up… watch it. You’ll be inspired to continue to pursue your craft… the end is poignant so stick with it.
After the call, I wanted to find out more so I visited their Facebook group page and read their description…
Staying connected to our dreams takes commitment and work, but it can be done -if we take just a bit of time to let our minds wander.
To slow down. To play. To explore. To discover.
Rebirth is a retreat designed to bring together a group of artists to learn from each other and to push each other in directions we didn’t realize were possible. It is for the dreamer. It’s for the photographer looking to find a way back to a world of wide-eyed creativity and endless possibilities. It’s about rediscovering your craft. It’s about reconnecting with your passions. It’s about finding a community of like-minded creatives.
It’s about not forcing a square peg into a round hole and letting a little bit of serendipity into our lives.
This is the un-workshop workshop.
It’s about thoughtfulness.
It’s about time.
It’s about Rebirth.
I want to live my life creative. Actually, I am living my life creative. Creating my life. I am a creator, tapping into and drawing from a deep well of inspiration from the Creator. I am a creation and therefore, I create. What an immeasurably empowering idea to embrace.
Wouldn’t you agree?
