Most Frequently Asked Question… How Do You Do It All? (D162)

That’s my answer. You know what this is an image of, right?

I took this image this morning as I was finally getting ready to go to sleep. I looked at the clock and realized it was my perfect shot of the day. I’d just had an exchange via Facebook with a friend who was marveling at and wondering how I get everything done. I’ve received various questions, exclamations, and disbelief at how much my husband and I accomplish in a given week, month, and even year.

My standard answer (a bit tongue in cheek)… I don’t sleep. Now I have the proof to back it up.

So it’s not entirely true that we don’t sleep. But it is true that we stay up entirely too late on way too many nights. Blame it on the creative in me that starts to really get going around 10 pm. Or blame it on bad sleep hygiene. Or even genetics of being a night owl. Doesn’t matter which way you slice it, the truth is that I like staying up late and that is when I am my most productive.

What about you? When are you most productive? How do you get done everything you need to get done?

I can relate!!! I am my most creative after 10 pm also! Some of my best work has been done between 10pm and 4am!
  • I think a lot of it a direct result of internal wiring... and external conditioning. Hard to say which is a bigger factor, but I see it in my son... hates getting up in morning and loves to stay up late.
