What’s More Important than Family? (D124)

Not much, maybe God, faith. In 2010, let’s not only say it, but let’s live it.

Today I flew into San Diego for the SPA (Senior Portrait Artists) conference this week. I’m speaking on Wednesday about the power of video to promote, market, and brand your photography business. After watching last year’s training DVD of all the speakers and shooting events, I can’t wait! Not to mention I get to hang out with some of the coolest photogs in the industry, including the talented Jeremy Cowart.

But, before that starts, I was picked up at the airport by my cousin and sister-in-law. It was the perfect way to start the second day of the new year. We spent the day hanging out, seeing the sights of San Diego, and best of all, went down to the beach. I met my nephew for the first time and savored taking pictures of my niece, nephew, and cousins.

Every time I get the chance to spend time with family I’m reminded of the power of connections. Despite the necessary drama and dysfunction that goes on in every family, there is nothing like the bonds of blood and love. Why not make this year an unforgettable one by connecting or reconnecting to those in your family? And make new connections online in groups and “families” like tasra365!
