D111: Capturing the Christmas Spirit

tasra365 Christmas celebration D111: Capturing the Christmas SpiritTonight we decided to attend a special Christmas service. It was not your ordinary Christmas service, I’ll tell you that.

You can see from the images that it almost looks more like a concert. And as far as quality of sound and performance, it was amazing. From the acapella group of men who did a hilarious rendition of popular Christmas carols to the acoustic duet that stirred my heart, it was stellar.

I still can’t believe Christmas is only 5 days away. We’re going minimalist in the gift giving department this year and keeping the focus on spending time with family and celebrating the reason for the season. So what are your upcoming plans? Anything new up your sleeve for celebrating?

Images: Looked at images of the art of a 94-year-old artist, Carmen Herrera. After a lifetime of work, she is now being recognized for her work. What a triumph!

It does indeed look stellar. And I like this snowflake thing you’ve got going.

And I too looked at Carmen Herrera’s work today! Amazing! I really liked her Red Star Painting, among others. Very cool minimalistic stuff.

Carmen is definitely minimalist. It's amazing to read about her history as an artist.

When I first saw this, I thought it was Trans Siberian Orchestra. The scaffold lighting at the ceiling looks like part of their set.
