A pastor told us once that a happy wife = happy life. Well, actually he told my husband. I thought it was pretty funny…and pretty accurate.
Tonight was date night. We went to see Avatar then got coffee at Starbucks afterward. That makes me happy.
More than a year ago, we committed to keeping more consistent date nights. We did good for a while, but then busyness, travel, and life got in the way. Now that the end of the year is upon us, we’re remembering those commitments and revisiting them.
I don’t know many women (wives or girlfriends) who wouldn’t like more date nights. So I’m thinking keeping it consistent is probably a pretty smart thing. Because truly you can’t argue with the fact that a happy wife really does often lead to a happy life…and vice versa.
