I’m in Tennessee, somewhere in the freezing cold mountains. Literally. I had NO idea it was so cold here. I guess I skipped this section in my geography class.

In fact, I don’t know much about TN except that it’s known for Nashville and country singers. What do you know about it? My friend Chase will probably school me since this is his home state, but I’m seriously drawing a blank on TN history.

Driving to our destination in the mountains, we drove by these amazing rock ledges on the side of the freeway. The icicles were gorgeous! The light was reflecting off them and they just hung there in all their magnificence. I couldn’t resist and had to pull over to grab some shots!

Feature Friday: Kevin Park at Spacebarpark. He’s the most recent photog to join the tasra365 adventure so I thought I’d feature his blog today! Head on over and give him some encouragement to keep the journey going! Kevin gives a photo tip for getting rays of light in your shot. Another great shot is his black and white conversion of Verrazano-Narrows Bridge. Kevin shoots with a Pentax K2000, so you gotta check out the unique look of his images.

Specs: Nikon D50, ISO 200, 70 – 200 mm lens. Processed in Lightroom, bump up black, increase sharpness.

Manual: Page 76—Shooting Options.

Images: Tia M. Bailey. One more nominee in Emerging Photographer of the Year. Very interesting style.

Didn’t Daniel Boone come from Tennessee? Davy Crockett? Matter of fact, I think a lot of Texas History is linked to Tennessee. I also know it is next door to Kentucky. They have good BBQ in Memphis.

Hm. Not exactly helpful. But those icicles are gorgeous! Thanks for sharing them!
