I heard a talk once that talked about the word genius met something outside of you. When you did something brilliant it came from somewhere else. Later when people don't live up to being a genius, it would mean that it isn't currently with you. It's nothing personal, it's just not there.

I feel that way about my photography. It's a hobby, and not my main source of income. I don't have to be good at it. I can ask questions and seek help to learn more, because I'm not supposed to be the expert. I think this helps me to learn more, and become better at it.
