So, have you begun the daunting task of culling your images yet? Do you have a strategy or plan for making it happen? I need to do something similar and am trying to figure out how to decide what to keep and trash. Am wondering if it's just easier to get a massive hard drive and back them up there. Thoughts?

Hah. Sitting here with my little archive of 30,000 images or so 18 million sounds pretty absurd. I really can't even fathom sorting through that many. I need to cull my archives and the sheer number of images is so daunting I keep putting it off... Which of course just makes the problem worse.

And that is exactly why I love photography...not only can I attempt to capture those special moments, but sometimes the photograph itself IS that special moment, that otherwise would have been lost.
