D50: Take the road less traveled

What else needs to be said? Are you taking the road less traveled? Are you stepping into a world undiscovered by others? Or are you hesitating between two roads, two choices, two worlds?

Best way I know to keep myself on the road less traveled is to never get stuck in a rut. When I start feeling stuck, that’s the time to change something, anything, and get moving again. Not always easy, but always necessary.
tasra365 road less traveled D50: Take the road less traveled

This 365 is the road less traveled. Not every aspiring photographer is willing to put in the time to take an image, read a page in their manual, and look through pro images every single day for a year. I see many photogs who take a photo a day, without the extra stuff and that’s a great challenge as well. But I really see the foresight in Scott Bourne’s advice to make it about more than just taking a photo. I know I’m benefitting and growing every day because of continuing down this road.

I’m absolutely thrilled there are more than 200 other photographers who have joined this journey as well! Nice to have company on the less traveled road.

Today’s image is of a scrapbooking project I created. Wanted to get a clear picture of it to put on Real Women Scrap. This project is a “blog log,” a place where I planned to keep all my blog post ideas. Never ended up using it for that, but it was a great project to create nonetheless.

Manual: Page 43—Shuttery Priority Auto.

Images: Looked through a book with images by Carlos Baez, David Beckstead, Jules Bianchi, Joe Buissink, Mike Colon, Jessica Del Vecchio, Will Jacks, Stacey Kane, Jamie Karlin, Kenny Kim, Me Ra Koh, Mike Larson, Justin and Mary Marantz, Jared Platt, Shawn Reeder, Emilie Sommer, Jessica Strickland, Robert T. Williams, Jeff and Erin Youngren, and Shari Zellers. Stunning imagery. If you’re unfamiliar with any of these pros, take some time to look them up. It’s worth it.

Great post today Tasra. It is not an easy task to take the road less traveled, but if you don't, opportunities could be missed . It reminds me of the that old saying “If you're not the lead dog, the view never changes”

Thanks Ken! Yep, you never know what's down the road less traveled until you're willing to travel it. :-)

And it should be noted on this day that the Nikon D50 is probably one of the most underrated Nikon bodies in their lineup.

I hadn't heard that. Why is it underrated?

I love the texture and color elements that combine to enrich the “saying” you captured!
