Episode 26: Interview with Rebeca Seitz

Most of you know of my friendship with author Rebeca Seitz. We’ve had media appearances together, and she helped us out at our Memory Trends booth this past September. While there, I had the opportunity to sit down with her and chat about her new book, Sisters Ink. We also got to talk about where she finds time to read, and the great website resource to help local scrapbookers connect. Enjoy!

Leave a comment below and I’ll enter you in a drawing to win a free copy of Rebeca’s book.

I’ve got a full time job and 8 kids. I find that if I don’t read I’m cranky! I read every night before I fall asleep… or if I can get into the bathroom by myself I grab my book first! Those minutes do add up to a novel pretty quickly. Kari

I read most every night before bed. I have had to train myself to not just turn the TV on, but it is so worth it. Rebeca’s book sounds great!

  • Katherine McKamey

Wow! What a great book! I can’t wait to take some “mommy’s time” and read it!-Katherine

Hmmm… In 30 minutes I can prepare a meal, read the newspaper while the meal is on the stove and kiss and hug my kids too :)
The book sounds wonderful (I love Desperate Housewives), will buy a copy if I don’t win it from here!

I love your book and every night I read at least a page if not a chapter, depends on how tired I am when I flop in there – you guys had such a fun interview, and I certainly will be putting Sisters Ink on my “to read” list.. thanks so much for sharing with us about a great up and coming title, a wonderful new web site and more importantly, letting us know we’re not alone when we feel like we can’t get anything done! Hope you and your family has the best Christmas and a Safe and Happy New year, and I certainly look forward to more in 2008! Cheers, Chelle

As a librarian, I LOVE to read. My bedside table is piled with all the books I’m planning to read. It’s my favorite time of day – crawling into bed and reading a book before sleep. Would love to add this book to my pile! Kathy

I surround myself with books and often have more than one on the go in various parts of the house to pick up when I have a few minutes. I would love to add Sister’s Ink to my reading list and to my ever-growing collection. It sounds like a great book.

I watched this video earlier today and the ’30 minute’ discussion has helped me out today. I have been trying to finish coloring my Christmas cards and keep losing focus as I am not one to enjoy doing the same thing again and again. I have been coloring in 30 minute sessions and have gotten quite a few done. Every 30 minutes I have allowed myself to get side-tracked for a bit – then back to 30 minutes of coloring. I also love reading. I take a bus to and from work each day, so I get a good 1.5 hours of reading in a day. It really calms me and makes me a better wife when I get home!

  • Monica

I love to read. I would love to win the book and add it to my stash, right next to your book Tasra!
