Ali Edwards—Life Artist Gets Real (Episode 21)

I know I’ve said this before, but this week we have an amazing show for you. Ali Edwards, author, artist, designer, mother, and all-around fabulous woman is here with Real Women Scrap TV. She shared her philosophy and hope for scrapbookers everywhere when we met at Memorytrends earlier this year. You won’t want to miss her inspiring words and "real" motivation for capturing life and art.

Life Artist
, Ali Edwards’ third book, is the one she says she loves the most.

"This is the book I really wanted to write because it addresses not only the projects and layouts, but the real life process of creativity and my philosophy behind capturing life and creating art."

Ali hopes this book will empower scrapbookers to let go of their quest for perfection and get back to the heart of the matter: the photos and the words. I couldn’t agree more.

Great blog, but the interview with Ali sucks.
It took half an hour to load, while I am on broadband. I wanted to hear so bad what she had to say, but the quality of the video is so poor… Streaming is not working, it gets capped off after a couple of seconds, and I tried this for half an hour…
Her voice is very deformed too, she has a low voice, but not that low. The voice is deformed because the video is playing too slow. I wanted to send you an email off list to tell you, but don’t find an email address.
I would really like to see that interview, but would hope it can be posted better…
if it is good, I will tell you, if it is bad, I tell you too! Hoping for a correction of some kind…

REPLY TO PHOTOCAT ABOUT VIDEO QUALITY:
Hi PhotoCat. I produce the videos for RWSTV. I’m sorry to hear you had a bad viewing/listening experience. The internet is a very finicky place. I played the video again and it seems fine. The only known audio issue for this episode has to do with something not in our control: the air conditioners at the exhibit hall.
There could be any number of reasons why your viewing experience was bad. If you have broadband and the video took a half hour to buffer, then that is a definite sign that something was amiss. The view servers we use could have been slow at the time (which could happen if there are a larger number of people trying to view at once, or if the service provider is making maintenance updates). It’s also possible that your broadband service provider could have been slow at that time. There are any number or possibilities. Feel free to email me if you have technical difficulties in the future: ron@cinematicstudios.com.
